hello all,

whenever a software is updated ( not for my model of receiver), is it possible to edit the file, get the keys and update the file needed for a different receiver ?
If so, wich editor is to use and which file do i need to edit ?

example: can i edit the file of a sr-190 D, get the keys an transfer them to a SR 550 D file.

yet, to upgrade the software and update the keys you do need an editor, so i don't see where it is so hard . the trick is which editor to use !

with a sr-550D you can update the keys "on screen" via the remote . so you just need to extract the new keys from a more recent file for another receiver .
Am i wrong in my thinking ?
