Any one knows the way to use sofcams to update keys in Starsat SR-X550D?? this will be better than waiting months for a new firmware..

What program do we need? I have downloaded many progs but did not work. May be because I have Windows Vista??

Any one knows about this matter and tried it before would tell me ..please?

up to now i never was able to receive a correct answer to any technical question, so i wish you good luck . Apparently nnobody is willing to share info on this forum . for info TPS is dead, a lot of channels have disapeared from hotbird and no news about the new french provider ORANGE .

Thank you.. I agree with you.. This forum seems to be useless.. I am going to buy a new receiver soon other than Starsat in order to get over this headache of waiting months for new updates. By the way, do you know what is the best FTA reciever now that would have Auto updates for all keys including RSA keys??

I tried this software it's old and did not open any of the TPS channels. The only channels I was able to watch are POLSAT on Nagra2.

Also, may ids for providers are not there especially in the dcw and fixed keys.

The last firmware posted for X550 is more than a month old and decodes almost nothing.
Which software are you refering to that was posted recently (about a week ago)?
Any idea when an updated SW for X550 will be posted. There are updates for many other Starsat receiver models (dated 10/6/2008) but none for X550!!Why?
Is this a hint to force people to buy newer models of Starsat Recivers and boost sales? I think it will work the reverse and tend to make people trash their existing Starsat rec. and replace with another brand that has better and more consistent support.Consider the thought!
