Hi,

Any one can tell me how to connect RS232 cable to SR-X550D ? The PC cannot see the cable at all. I have female ends with 9 pins from both sides of the cable.

Which program I shall use for this connection?

true gali, it is a crossed cable, you need to invert cables between pin 2 and 3 ( that is pin 2 at one end is connected to pin 3 at the other end and vice versa pin 3 becomes pin 2 going the same way) .
You should have the schematic at the end of the book that comes with the receiver .

To update connect the cable, open the software and open simple //// (the red triangle thingy), choose your com port, click on start and voila .
after updating you might need to unplug the power cord of your receiver for 15 minutes or so before it works properly .

Would you tell me please which is the most updated information that should appear in receivers menue. I got the folllowing info after using the file 20070921_SR-X550D_V377_ultra:

Software: 2.1.377
Hardware: 1.6.001
Loader: 2.0.002

Are the above, the last upgrade file for SR-X550D Ultra??

Or shall I use the other zip file: 550D_Ultra_20080205 ?

What is the softcam that will run both tps, polsat, showtine and art together. As of now, I'm using v301 but showtime doesnt work
