hey all,

after installing the latest 1.57 for my SR-1000HD I was still getting scrambled channels...so decided to install an older firmware, but the installation just hung for like 20 minutes... I restarted the receiver and now boom! it will not start. it just sits there with the 2 lights (red and green) on and nothing else happens!!!
Pls help me... is there a way to set it back to the original firmware? how do I load a new fmw?

fellow it's the worst thatmay happen to the box!
you have to flash it & 128M flash file need you to have
where do you live?

Hi Shahram,

I am in beirut.
How do you flash it with a 128M file? please help!

I tried sending it to the person I bought it from, and he said it all fried and cannot be recovered and wants me to buy a new one... he is trying to scam me!

Hi fellow
128M flash on this stb works with 16m file
starcomsw HD section put the file u can download IT
only programmer like super pro3000 is able to erase & program this 56pin IC
you must go to repair service in your town
I have all to fix your stb but I live in Iran

Is the IC soldered onto the board?
one more thing, the file I need to load is this one: S29GL128PxxTxx01.BIN ???
because the location you pointed me to has an 8M file
ST7101HD_Metal_STARCOM_SR-X1000HD-LED_For-Factory-SW_V1.57_100426.bin
so which one to use?

did yours work flawlessly after you burned the new image?

Hi
fellow go to flash section there is flash file you need
yes flash soldered on board!
if you have red led & no no pic & sound on tv you must rebuild the flash programmer+56pin adabter
I did it because I've all the thing to work because it's my job good luck
